Paul My father gave me this album (on vinyl) after I accepted Jesus as a young man. The album is wonderful! I am thankful Randy Stonehill is still touring and producing new music as of 2023! Favorite track: Keep Me Runnin'.

riversidema Randy Stonehill, in CA was the first "concert" that I ever went to. One guy on stage with a guitar. That LP was played every night as I went to sleep. 40 years later I got to see him again in WA. Timeless music with an ageless message. Favorite track: King Of Hearts.

wojkejim Miss the Bellevue concerts around the holidays. I know you went there to see your mom. The sound on this is great!

penny_jinright This is the first album I heard by Randy, WAY back in the day. It still holds up today, and is just brilliant in every way.

All alone drifting wild / Like a ship that's lost out on the ocean / Everyone's a homeless child / And it's not hard to understand / Why we need a Father's hand / There's a rainbow somewhere / And you were born to be there / But you're just running in circles / Till you reach out your hand to the King of hearts. Pockets full of pain and fear / That's a load there's just no need to carry / Let it go and leave it here / Now there's no price that's left to pay / With one more mile or one more day There's a rainbow somewhere / And you were born to be there / But you're just running in circles / Till you reach out your hand to the King of hearts. You can try to catch the wind / But in the end you're only wasting precious time / Life can really be so kind / Once you find the truth and follow, go on follow, follow There's a rainbow somewhere / And you were born to be there / But you're just running in circles / Till you reach out your hand / Till you reach out your hand / Til you reach out your hand to the King of hearts There's a rainbow somewhere / There's a rainbow somewhere / There's a rainbow somewhere

Keep me runnin' from the shadow of my lies / Like a gypsy who is never satisfied / Once you compromise your soul / You spend your lifetime dodging the devil's toll Keep me runnin' (keep me movin') keep me coverin' up my tracks / Keep me runnin' so I'm always looking back / Always restless in my dreams / And trouble's never too far behind it seems Keep me runnin' keep me movin' keep me always on the go / Keep me makin' sure my footprints never show / Keep me runnin' keep me movin' keep me numb from head to toe / Keep me hiding where my past will never go Keep me runnin' from the sins I can't erase / Like an outlaw with a mask to hide his face / Once I was told that love could fly / Yeah but it's been so long that I just can't remember why Keep me runnin' keep me movin' keep me always on the go / Keep me makin' sure my footprints never show / Keep me runnin' keep me movin' keep me numb from head to toe / Keep me hiding where my past will never go Keep me runnin' Keep me runnin' Keep me runnin'

I'm a wheeler a dealer the man who's in control / Don't talk about my feelings Don't talk abut my soul / Well you know my time is money so I've got no time to spend / But when you've got some business won't you come on by again I'm the winner and I made it to the top / And I took it all just like I planned / I'm the man who holds the high card in his hand I'm an owner a loaner a master at the game / I've got that golden Midas touch And people know my name / There were times I held the low cards baby well I knew they weren't enough / But I just kept my poker face and won it on the bluff I'm the winner and I made it to the top / And I took it all just like I planned / I'm the man who holds the high card in his hand It's not easy to see me I'm an influential man / And I never needed anyone To build my promised land / So don't tell me about Jesus 'cause He's just to hard to sell / And I never trust in strangers that's the first rule I Learned well I'm the winner and I made it to the top / And I took it all just like I planned / I'm the man who holds the high card in his hand I'm the winner look at me now I'm the winner / I'm the winner look at me now I'm the winner

Lung Cancer 03:34
She went down to the corner store/ And bought a pack of filter kings / Don't you know tomorrow she'll be back for more / Cause she really loves to smoke those things / And every time that she inhales / A cloud of that cigarette smoke / She's just one step closer to the man in black / And sixty cents closer to broke And she's working on / Lung cancer, emphysema, a cardiac arrest / And she'll probably have a stroke when see sees / The x-rays of her chest When she had her first cigarette / A puff or two was all she could take / Now if she doesn't have one in her hand all the time / You'll notice it begin to shake / And even though she's nonchalant / And acts as if her habit's a joke / I bet she won't do too much laughing / When her life goes up in smoke She's been smoking that C-I-G-A-R-E-T-T-E that cigarette's got her on her knees / C-I- G-A-R-E-T-T-E / That darn tobacco won't set her free / Suck baby suck / Suck on that cigarette / Go on and light up that fag and take a drag / It's bound to snuff you yet (guitar break) She went down to the corner store/ And bought a pack of filter kings / Don't you know tomorrow she'll be back for more / Cause she really loves to smoke those things / And every time that she inhales / A cloud of that cigarette smoke / She's just one step closer to the man in black / And sixty cents closer to broke

I can't keep from mourning for this topsy- turvy world / With all its strife and pain / Mourning for the lost and the desperate children / Who can't remember their names And I can feel it in my soul / Now the end is getting near / I can hear the devil laughing / And its ringing in my ears Long ago He chose us to inherit all His kingdom / And we were blessed with light / But wandering away we disobeyed Him in the garden / And stumbled into night And I can feel it in my soul / Now the end is getting near / I can hear the angels weeping / And it's ringing in my ears We are all like foolish puppets who desiring to be kings / Now lie pitifully crippled after cutting our own strings But God said I'll forgive you I will face you Man to man / And win your love again / Oh how could there be possibly a greater gift of love / Than dying for a friend And I can feel it in my soul / Now the end is getting near / I can hear the devil laughing / And it's ringing in my ears We are all like foolish puppets who desiring to be kings / Now lie pitifully crippled after cutting our own strings Cutting our own strings / Cutting our own strings / Cutting our own strings
6.
First Prayer 03:10
I've been waitin' for a long long time / Hopin' You're a friend of mine / If there's one thing that I need to do / Well that's to find out more about You / I have been wondering all of my days / So if You're there show me the way I see people in a world of lies / Staring out through lonely eyes / Watching as the years go by / Knowing they're living only to die / There must be something missing somewhere / So if You're listening answer this prayer I will follow if You'll lead me / Help me make a stand / If You'll breathe new breath inside me / I'll believe you can/ I'll believe You can Well I never really learned to pray / But You know what I'm tryin' to say / I don't want my life to end / Not ever knowing why it began / So if You'll trust me I'll do my best / and I'll be trusting You for the rest
7.
Everybody's going to the movies / Everybody's leavin' for the show / Seems as if we've lost the nerves for feeling / And no one's in the mood to want to know I've got news for you this is not a game / I've got news for you are you Listenin' / I've got news for you we are all the same / And when that is understood we can start to live again Can you look inside yourself and tell me / That your emptiness is just a state of mind / And you'll feel better if you just keep busy / If you leave your feelings all behind I've got news for you this is not a game / I've got news for you are you listenin' / I've got news for you we are all to blame / And when that is understood we can start to live again Oh start to live again / People people tell me where have we been Ever feel as if your heart was whispering / Like a special Voice you never heard before / And something deep inside your soul was tickin' / As if someone was pounding on the door I've got news for you this is not a game / I've got news for you are you listenin' / I've got news for you we are all the same / I've got news for you this is not a game / I've got news for you we are all the blame / And when that is understood we can start to live again / Yes when that is understood we can start to live again
8.
Sarah can I love you will you open up the door / I know you've heard that misused word a lot of times before / But I think that you need someone who can firmly take your hand / And love you in a way that you can really understand Sarah will you love me you've got so much there to give / We've waited for so long to change the lonely way we live / And I see the fragile lady that you hide behind your eyes / And I want so much to reach you when I hear those distant cries Sarah Someone loves you in a way I never could / He laid His life before you on a cross made out of wood / Oh and in His hour of anguish our dreams were given birth / I hope you finally realize how much your love is worth
9.
I wonder if this Christmas they'll begin to understand The Jesus that they celebrate is much more than a man 'Cause the way the world is I don't see How people can deny The only way to save us was for Jesus Christ to die And I know that if Saint Nicholas was here he would agree That Jesus gave the greatest gift of all to you and me They led Him to the slaughter on a hill called Calvary And mankind was forgiven when they nailed Him to the tree But most of all the children they're the ones I hope will learn That Jesus is our Savior and He's going to return And Christmas isn't just a day and all days aren't the same Perhaps they'll think about the word and see it spells His name And I know that if Saint Nicholas was here he would agree That Jesus gave the greatest gift of all to you and me They led Him to the slaughter on a hill called Calvary And mankind was forgiven, mankind was forgiven We were all forgiven when they nailed Him to the tree So Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas I wonder if this Christmas they'll begin to understand
