I’ve got a touch of arthritis in my hips got a bird’s eye view of the apocalypse I’ve got blisters on my fingertips from trying to hold my life with a real type grip My ears are still ringing from the gibberish of liars These shifting sands have worn a lot of tread off my tires Put some rock and roll on the old Victrola I need a blood transfusion and a Coca Cola I want the Holy Ghost to bless my soul, yeah I need a blood transfusion and a Coca Cola That’s what I need I’ve got a swollen nose and a chipped front tooth had a dust-up down at the kissing booth Thought true love was calling me Well it was a case of mistaken identity I’m not saying I’m self destructive that may be the case In the dictionary by the word there’s a picture of my face Put some rock and roll on the old Victrola I need a blood transfusion and a Coca Cola I want the Holy Ghost to bless my soul, Yeah I need a blood transfusion and a Coca Cola This life’s a waltz on a slippery slope I’m dizzy and bruised from the rope-a-dope Tryin’ with all my heart to cope I keep shiftin’ gears between fear and hope I need a truck load of faith An awful lot of guts A laugh or two from time to time To keep from goin’ nuts Put some rock and roll on the old Victrola I need a blood transfusion and a Coca Cola I want the Holy Ghost to bless my soul, Yeah I need a blood transfusion and a Coca Cola I need it

Spirit Walk 04:58
I woke up this morning, felt about a hundred years old. I woke up this morning, felt like I was one hundred years old. Well, it's not about the number of your days, It's how regret weighs on your soul. Choose your battles carefully, There are so few wars worthwhile to wage. Better pick your battles carefully There are so few wars worthwhile to wage. Better think about the fallout, Every time you fly into a rage. We teeter on the precipice; act like it's a level mesa land. Inches from the great abyss, pretending that we got things well in hand. In the end we're kings of nothin' And the end always comes quicker than you planned. Bust out your windows, Jimmy all your locks, Listen to the whisper when the Spirit talks. Lay down your treasure, Throw away your clocks, This is hallowed ground, do the spirit walk – spirit walk. The devil slid up to me, he said “Why don't we have a little chat?” I got a bit suspicious when he refused to let me take his hat. He said, “I know about your unfulfilled desires, I can help you out with that.” I said, “That's awfully temping, I guess that's the business that you're in.” “What would you need for payment?” he just looked down with a sheepish grin. I said, “I think I'll pass.” He said, “That's okay but I'll be back again.” It don't take Nostradamus to tell you how the chips are gonna fall. Open up your Bible, you don't need some gypsy's crystal ball. The way things are these days, Even Ray Charles could see the writing on the wall. Bust out your windows, Jimmy all your locks, Listen to the whisper when the Spirit talks. Lay down your treasure, Throw away your clocks, This is hallowed ground, do the spirit walk – spirit walk. I woke up this morning, grateful that I still was sucking wind. I woke up today, I was breathing out, breathing in. Now most people take that for granted, Man, that's gotta be some kind of sin. I don't mean to whine and moan, I know some people like to sing the blues. Not trying to play the victim, like some folks who just love to sing the blues. But I've learned so much the hard way, Hope there's something here someone can use.

Life is tough God is good It’s a shame that we don’t trust in Him The way we should Life is tough suck it up Mercy from the Maker’s meant to fill your cup We love to filibuster, rail, & scoff If we shut our mouths we might be better off We’d begin to hear a still small voice Lead us through these woods Life is tough, sure enough but God is good Sin is sweet for a while But it’s like trying to make a pet out of a crocodile Sin is sweet until it’s not, You see the Venus flytrap has you caught Hearts so hard that you can’t convince ‘Til we’re choking on our choices And the consequence It wouldn’t have to be that way if we understood Life is tough, sure enough But God is good You hear the people say… Life is tough God is good All the people pray… Life is tough God is good You hear the people say… Life is tough God is good Life is short, truth to tell And it’s not a dress rehearsal so live it well Life is short don’t you blink It isn’t going to work out the way you think It’s a broken world with broken souls We might not always be happy But we can be whole And Jesus hung on the cross To make sure we could Life is tough sure enough But God is good Then all the people say… Life is tough God is good… Life is tough but God is good It’s a crime that we don’t trust In Him the way we should Life is tough so they say And you never really live it ‘til you give it away You can call me a fool meet me toe to toe But I can’t deny this love I know Not talking ‘bout Santa Claus or Robin Hood Life is tough sure enough But God is good

Standing there at the open door Not quite sure what you’re looking for Going without knowing what you’ll find It’s a road of uncertainty Where it goes isn’t guaranteed Sometimes this old world can be unkind But you can’t ever leave My love behind I’ll meet you in the broken places In the shadows of your pain In a sea of stranger’s faces I will find you, stand beside you Anytime you call My name When all your dreams have fallen down Your longing just to turn around And someone you can trust is hard to find You might think it’s been too long The road that leads back home is gone But love’s a thing that don’t keep track of time And you can’t ever leave My love behind I’ll meet you in the broken places In the shadows of your pain In a sea of stranger’s faces I will find you, stand beside you Anytime you call My name When the world has gone insane When you’re ragged from the strain Call My name I’ll meet you in the broken places In the shadows of your pain In a sea of stranger’s faces I will find you, stand beside you Anytime you call My name
