about

This "peak behind the curtain"writing session from 1987 was recorded on reel-to-reel tape at Phil & Bernadette Keaggy's house in California. You can tell these two had a blast together but were also seasoned songwriters. The song "Sunday's Child" was an homage to the Beatles and other British Invasion groups and became the title track to Phil Keaggy's 1988 album.

The song "Brain Dead" was written for a short-lived parody band of the same name which made its debut appearance on the Found Free Cruise in 1987. The band consisted of Phil Keaggy, Randy Stonehill, Russ Taff, Lynn Nichols, and Mike Mead as a "British" pop group a la the Rutles, with a dash of Spinal Tap thrown in for good measure.
